The Egmont Trust supports inspirational grassroots organisations that alleviate the devastating impact of HIV & AIDS on vulnerable children and their families in sub-Saharan Africa.
Since 2005, we have committed over £6 million to more than 80 partner organisations in Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Why HIV & AIDS?
Nearly 26 million people in sub-Saharan Africa are infected with HIV. The impact AIDS has on some of the world's poorest children is immeasurable.
How Egmont Helps
1 in 10 people are infected in the countries our partners work in. Almost everyone is affected by someone living with HIV.

The AIDS epidemic has illustrated the immense resilience of people across Africa, their ability to find a way forward often led by individuals with integrity, inspiration and unshakeable determination. Egmont's expertise lies in finding these people, and giving their activities financial and management support.

We know where scarce resources can have the most impact. By directing small scale aid to grassroots projects, we have been able to achieve sustained improvements in children’s nutrition, education, family income and HIV care and treatment.
Here are three things that make us different
Our Patrons & Trustees cover all our operating costs in the UK and Africa enabling 100% of your donations to go directly to projects making a difference to AIDS affected families.
We believe that the people most affected by AIDS in Africa are best at understanding, planning and implementing projects to alleviate the impact that the epidemic has on children and their families.
Value for Money
We rigorously select projects that are run by locally driven organisations. We look for partners that are having real impact in innovative and efficient ways, delivering value for money for your donations.
