From inception, Egmont has aimed to be a philanthropic investment vehicle with no management fees. We have helped donors to invest more than £13 million in this way.
All of Egmont's operating expenses – the cost of recruiting, maintaining and evaluating The Egmont Portfolio of grassroots projects, staff salaries, project site visits and evaluations, fundraising events, communications and software – are met by a small group of generous backers: our Trustees & Patrons.
Egmont covers transaction costs, any card or transfer fees required to receive a donation or send onwards to a project.
If you are a UK taxpayer and take advantage of the UK government's tax-effective GiftAid scheme, Egmont can claim an additional 25% - 31.25% for every £1 that you give – meaning your gift goes even further towards improving the lives of vulnerable children, women and families affected by HIV and poverty.
Egmont operates two separate funds, for projects and operations, to guarantee that every penny or cent donated to help fund Egmont Partners’ projects is utilised for work on the ground. Check our financials for more details.
