Improving the lives of children affected by HIV & AIDS

Highlights from the 2016 Egmont Annual Awards

On Wednesday, 9th March 2016, we held our Annual Awards event at the Royal Institution of Great Britain in London.

The Awards highlight the remarkable achievements in improving the lives of those affected by HIV & AIDS that Egmont partners deliver each year. Trustee, Rory Powe, opened the evening, speaking of the impact that Egmont partners have had in sub-Saharan Africa over the last 11 years. Egmont will be increasing this support over the coming years to enable more partners to deliver their effective, sustainable and life-changing work.

Celebrating 10 years of the Egmont Trust

Starting from just 5 small projects in Zambia and Zimbabwe in 2005, Egmont has steadily grown our portfolio of local, African-based, grassroots initiatives working to improve the lives of some of the millions of children affected by HIV & AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.

Today, Egmont has provided £4.7 in funding to over 160 community driven projects run by 70 different organisations and, during the last 10 years, has helped improve the lives of more than 357,000 people. This would not have been possible without the incredible and generous support of our donors.

Programme Manager Recruitment

We are now seeking to recruit a Programme Manager, who will manage the partner reporting and accountability process, provide support to partner evaluation and development and organise/facilitate in country partner meetings. S/he will also contribute substantially to the selection of potential new partners and assessment of proposals.

The successful applicantwill have relevant experience, at management levels, in civil society initiatives in Africa, especially those linked with HIV and AIDS and have excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
